The United States Deaf Cycling Association is a 501C3 certified non-profit organization that is affiliated with the USA Deaf Sports Federation.  As one of the oldest deaf sports organization, we promote cycling both recreationally and competitively, and support deaf cyclists participation in national and international cycling competitions.

We are excited to announce that we are fielding a full team of deaf cyclists to compete in the 2025 Deaflympics international cycling competition in both road and mountain biking events.  This competition will take place in Tokyo, Japan, in November.

We are looking for sponsors to help fund the costs involved for the team’s participation in the Deaflympics.  And in return for sponsorship, we are offering various ways to promote and advertise your contributions throughout the 2024 season and into 2025 as the team trains for the event. We use two different donation platforms, PayPal and GiveButter. Below is a list of different ways you can give to the team.

2. Wish List

Our athletes currently compete in national and international events with the equipment that they own, this ranges from using equipment that are on par with the latest technology to equipment that is more dated and likely not suitable for high level of competition.  To support their needs, this is a working wish list of different equipment, clothing, and training support that they need currently:

Bikes in all sizes (Road and Mountain)

On the bike apparel (Kits, socks, shoes)

Racing wheels

Off the bike apparel (shirts, caps)

Training Programs

Helmets

To discuss how you might want to offer support for any of these equipment.  Please write to us at usdeafcycling@gmail.com.

3. Deaf Youth Scholarship Fund

One of the many challenges we face as an organization that caters to a population that has been underserved is finding deaf cyclists that have the riding or racing experience necessary to compete in national and international events.  These events are competitive and having an early exposure to this level of competition has proven advantageous for many cyclists.  Our team’s current trend involves cyclists being introduced to cycling in their 30’s and competing well into their 50’s.  To respond to this gap, we are partnering with various camps and programs that support deaf youth opportunities to an early start with cycling.  Our team members attend and participate in these programs by offering workshops, clinics, and skills based training with direct communication using American Sign Language (ASL).

We ask that you consider making a donation to our organization that will support this effort.  All funds donated here will be earmarked specifically for Deaf Youth scholarships.

We’re very grateful for what our sponsors have helped us accomplish over the years.  From funding our deaf cyclists in supporting their goals in achieving a spot on the podium in various international cycling competitions to creating programs for deaf youth that is conducive to ensuring that they are afforded the opportunity to experience the joys of riding on bikes and so much more.  We’re grateful for all of our past, current, and future sponsors.

We hope that you are able to contribute and thank you for the consideration.

Many thanks in advance for your support!  Go TEAM USA!
